Lydia leads ethical compliance and programmes to improve the social sustainability of the supply chain at Marks & Spencer, a leading UK retailer offering high quality, own brand food, clothing and home products online and in stores globally. Lydia is responsible for delivering supply chain programmes that address systemic and local ethical issues with the purpose of having a positive social and business impact. This work spans worker voice, wage digitisation, gender equality and health. She is the M&S lead on The Work and Opportunities for Women (WOW) programme, a new flagship programme funded by the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID). Prior to working at M&S, Lydia held the position of Sustainability Executive at TIAA Henderson, a global property investment firm, leading on responsible investment and ESG strategy. She holds an MSC in Environmental Consultancy from the Newcastle University.
